Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar Saturday revealed his old Kolkata connection: He once worked in a travel agency in central Kolkata in the early 1980s.
"I want to share something with you guys. I have an old connection with this city (Kolkata) and I love it. During early 1983-84 I used to work in a travel agency in New Market area of Kolkata," Akshay told mediapersons here.
He said he felt proud and nostalgic whenever he came to the metropolis.
"Earlier I used to work at a small place in Kolkata. And today I am sitting before you guys, in front of so many cameras. I really feel very proud," said an emotional Akshay, who was in the city for the promotion of his upcoming film "Tees Maar Khan".
The actor, who made his film debut in 1991 in the Raj Sippy directed "Saugandh", has now established himself as one of the leading actors of B-town.
